Return Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with our service and your experience. We hope that your expectations will be exceeded by our design and quality of service. If you are not satisfied with the service or need to put the project on hold, please follow the steps outlined below so we can resolve the issue:

Cancelation of Contract:

The client may cancel this agreement at anytime prior to midnight of the third business day after signing the contract. The client would then receive a 100% refund of the retainer/deposit paid within 14 days. This notice of cancelation needs to be in writing to our office.

Termination or Suspension of Contract Policy

Per the contract that you signed with DIY/KT+A at the start of the job, the client may terminate the contract in not less than 7 days in writing to the architect for any reason.

Either party may terminate this contract upon not less than 7 days by written notice if there is a substantial nonperformance in accordance with the terms of this contract by the other party in no fault of the initiating party.

If the client holds up the project for more than 90 cumulative days in no fault of the architect, the architect may terminate the contract by giving not less than 7 days written notice to the client. The architect will be paid all monies due for services rendered prior to written notice. If the architect chooses to just suspend the project instead of canceling, then when the project is resumed the architect shall be compensated for any expenses occurred in this suspension in resuming the project. The architect's fees will need to be equitably adjusted.

If the client does not comply with payment obligations set forth in this contract it will be considered nonperformance on part of the client, and the architect can choose to terminate or suspend the contract. The architect must give not less that 7 days written notice. In no way does the architect have any liability to the client for delay or damage caused to the client because of this suspension or termination. The architect will be paid all monies due under this contract for services rendered prior to written notice. The architect also will be compensated for any expenses occurred in suspension or resuming contract. The architect's fees will need to be equitably adjusted.

If the contract is terminated in no fault of the architect, the architect shall be paid for all services performed prior to termination, along with reimbursable expenses and all termination expenses. Termination expenses are defined as expenses that are in addition to the architect's services and includes expenses directly related to termination for which the architect is not otherwise compensated. This also includes the amount of the architect's anticipated profit on the value of services not performed by the architect.

At termination of contract DIY/KT+A will refund any remaining retainer/deposit paid within 15 days of written notice.
